Nuri Ribera Anfinsen
After graduating from The Royal Swedish ballet school, Nuri joined the Norwegian National ballet and was promoted to soloist in 1992. She has had major parts in ballets like The Tempest, Nutcracker, Sphinx, Hearts Laburint by Jiri Kylian and Romeo and Juliet that got her the Critics prize in 1993. Nuri is now teaching in addition to choreographing and dancing. For Kompani Haugesund she choreographed Sensilis in the production Magenta in 2011, an she was dancing in This is Now Mono and in Transparens in collaboration with Haugesund teater in 2014.
Martine is from Haugesund. She studied at Oslo National Academy of the Arts with a major in jazz dance, where she has worked with choreographers such as Subjazz, Masja Abrahamsen, Jo Strømgren, Erica Sobol, Tine Aspaas, Jens Trinidad and Christine Nypan. On 1 January 2015, she danced at the major’s reception in the town hall of Haugesund, and later the same year she received Drømmestipendet . In addition to Kompani Haugesund she is now working in an apprenticeship program in Madrid called CarabDanza.
Even is from Haugesund. He moved to Oslo in 2013 to study at Oslo National Academy of dance where he took a bachelor degree in jazz dance. During the studies he got to work with choreographers as Yaniv Cohen, Masja Abrahamsen, Pia Elton and Christopher Arouni.
After graduating, Even has been working more within contemporary and modern dance. He has done several smaller performances in Haugesund and Oslo such as Kulturnatt, Dans/5 and Collab. ‘’Todelt aften’’ was his first bigger production where he worked with both Stian Danielsen and Janne-Camilla Lyster.
Even has years of experience working with Haugesund Teater. He has also found a lot of inspiration traveling outside of Europe
Oda Østenstad Fjell
Oda Østenstad Fjell is born and raised in Haugesund. From 2006 to 2012 she participated in 13 professional performances at Haugesund Teater as a student in their youth program. At 17 she started her bachelor studies in contemporary dance at Oslo National Academy of the Arts, where she worked with choreographers such as Stian Danielsen, Lotte Sigh, Janne-Camilla Lyster, Masja Abrahamsen and Sharon Eyal. «Todelt Aften» with Kompani Haugesund was her first job as a professional, in september 2017.
Synne is from Haugesund. She went to the University of Stavanger, department of dance, where she got to work with Hagit Yakira, Roberto Olivan, Rui Lopes Graca and Tony Vezich, among others. She graduated spring 2016 with a Bachelor´s degree in modern and contemporary dance. Synne has also gained experience from doing GaGa in Tel Aviv, Israel. The last few years she has participated in various dance shows and festivals, where she has performed and worked with live music. Synne has been dancing in several dance projects with Kompani Haugesund including “Todelt aften” with “Glassperle” and “WOW!”.
Elisabeth is from Haugesund. She went to Oslo National Academy of the Arts, where she got to work with Erica Sobol, Jo Strømgren, Lise Tiller, Subjazz, Jens Trinidad, Christine Nypan, Tine Aspaas and Toni Ferraz, among other great choreographers. She graduated from Oslo National Academy of the Arts in spring 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in jazz dance. Elisabeth has also been a student at the Norwegian National Ballet School. Here she participated in The National Ballet’s production of Nutcracker.
Eva Grainger graduated with a BA in contemporary dance from The National Academy of the Arts in Oslo in 2009. From 2012-2014 she studied Economics and Management, and Culture Management at the University of Oslo.
Eva has worked as a dancer nationally and internationally since 2009, and been teaching Flying Low and Passing Through in Norway and abroad since 2010.
Eva Grainger has worked as producer for choreographers, companies and festivals since 2012, and is today full time employed as producer for Ingri Fiksdal, and Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt. She has been in the board of PRODA from 2014-2018, as chairman from 2016-2017, and is currently on the board of NoDa. Eva was the chairman of Kompani Haugesund from 2011-2014.
Martin is from Haugesund. After graduation from Oslo National Academy of the Arts in 2011, Martin has worked for Connecticut Ballet Theatre, Croatian National Theatre – Split, and Croatian National Theatre – Rijeka, where he danced the roles of i.a. the prince in The Nutcracker and “Alexander” in “Alexander the Great”, which also toured to Mexico in 2014. He is now employed as a soloist dancer for Belgrade National Theatre. Martin was the first winner of Team Hanne Kulturfond in 2010.
Ingeborg has her Bachelor’s degree in dance from Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She is now permanently employed at Skeisvang upper secondary school at the dance department. She has danced several years at Kulturnatt in Haugesund, the International Norwegian Film Festival and in two productions with Haugesund Teater. Ingeborg has been dancing in several projects with Kompani Haugesund, including This is Now Mono and in Transparens in collaboration with Haugesund teater in 2014. She also participated in The piece «Skakk, skjev, falsk og forkjær -En kvartett» in 2016. In 2017 she had one of the leading roles in the musical Terje Vigen, produced by Kilden teater in Kristiansand.
Merete is from Haugesund. She went to Oslo National Academy of the Arts, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in modern and contemporary dance. She has worked with choreographers such as Yossi Berg & Oded Graf, Christopher Arouni and Sharon Eyal (through Carte Blanche). Merete is based in Copenhagen, where she is working with choreographer Edhem Jesenkovic. She is also a part of Ina Christel Johannessen’s company, “zero visibility corp.” in addition to Kompani Haugesund.
Linn is from Haugesund and was educated at the University of Stavanger Dance Department. She has also been studying contemporary at Steps on Broadway, Peridance and DNA, in New York City. Linn has been dancing in several projects with Kompani Haugesund, including Magenta in 2011, This is Now Mono and Transparens in collaboration with Haugesund Theater in 2014. She has also been producing and dancing at Kulturnatt several years. She is also teaching at Skeisvang upper secondary school at the dance department and Tysvær Kulturskole.
Ingeborg Beate Dahlstrøm Jønsson
Ingeborg Beate is from Haugesund and graduated from the University of Stavanger (BA) and the University of Trondheim (MA). In addition to working as a dancer at various events and performances with Kompani Haugesund, The International Film Festival in Haugesund, Bømlo Teater, Danseverkstedet in Førde, Sunnfjord Folkehøgskule, she was a producer for the company’s first major performance “Magenta” in 2011.
She danced in “Glassperle” by Janne-Camilla Lyster, in Kompani Haugesund production “Todelt Aften” in 2017.
Ingeborg Beate is currently teaching in the dance department at Karmøy Kulturskole.
Karoline Aspaas Kvinnesland
Karoline is from Haugalandet. She graduated as a contemporary dancer from the University of Stavanger, department of dance in 2017. As a student, she got to work with great international dancers and choreographers like Hagit Yakira, Peter Jasko, Rui Lopes Graca, Roberto Olivan, Anne-Linn Akselsen and Laura Alvarez from Ultima Vez. Karoline got accepted to ArtEZ University of the Arts in The Netherlands as an exchange student, and spent a semester here. Both as a student and in the time after, she works with specializing in improvisation, artistic research and choreographing. Karoline has danced at Stavanger Konserthus at ‘Orgelfestivalen’ with choreographer Hagit Yakira, and many times in both Sandens Kulturhus and Festiviteten.
She worked as a solo dancer and choreographer at 9 professional performances with Hanne Krogh in 2016. Aspaas Kvinnesland has created five pieces in the last year and performed two of them herself, the last one a site specific called ‘On it’s way to somewhere’.
Karoline is currently working as a producer for Kick Dansestudio’s performance in Festiviteten called ’FLAKS’, where she has made seven choreographies. Karoline is also an educated physiotherapist.
Sølvi Egeland Larsen
Geir is from Haugesund. He went to Oslo National Academy of the Arts, where he got to work with Erica Sobol, Masja Abrahamsen, Lise Tiller, Subjazz, Jens Trinidad, Christine Nypan and Toni Ferraz, among other great choreographers. He graduated from Oslo National Academy of the Arts in spring 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in jazz dance. He also worked with Christopher Around in 2015, for the Christmas concert in Haugesund.
Elisabeth is from Haugesund and a former gymnast. She is educated from the University of Stavanger, Dance Department, and from the Stord/Haugesund University College, department of Teacher Education: Sports/Physical Education. Elisabeth has been in several productions, such as the musical Chess, mini tour of dance in Netherlands: Human instinct/Animal behaviour and Magenta with Kompani Haugesund, to mention a few. Elisabeth has also worked as dance teacher at several upper secondary schools, private dance schools and culture schools around Norway.
Mina Johannessen Sannes
Ingebjørg is from Haugesund and she graduated at music/dance/drama department at Skeisvang upper secondary school in 2003.
Ingebjørg started early as a dance teacher at different local culture houses. She has been teaching for several years at the local dance school Kick dansestudio where she is still currently working. Ingebjørg has also been choreographing, dancing and acting in several theatrical plays by Haugesund Theater and other companies. She has been dancing in Kompani Haugesund’s productions Petter Storstygg (2015) and Magenta (2011).
Ida Cathrin Utvik
Ida Cathrin is from Karmøy and graduated from the University of Stavanger in 2009 with a BA in Dance and Dance Education.
Apart from teaching in the culture schools, ballet schools and high schools in the region, she has done several performance projects with Dybwikdans, both in Norway, UK and Lisbon. As a freelancer she has also worked with companies such as Rogaland Teater, Haugesund Teater and Kompani Haugesund, both as a dancer and choreographer.
